Catalogue of Ants of the World
Barry Bolton’s 1995 A New General Catalogue of the Ants of the World. Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press is a compendium of all taxonomic decisions for ants worldwide, including extinct as well as extant taxa. This work was complemented in 2003 when Barry Bolton published Synopsis and Classification of Formicidae. 370 pp. Memoirs of the American Entomological Institute, Vol. 71. Gainesville, FL. A CD ROM database version of the Catalogue was published in 2007covering the period from 1758-2005.
