Abenante published on the ants and dragonflies of Uruguay.

TAXONOMY
Abenante published two taxonomic papers as a co-author, describing a new queen and larva of Brachymyrmex melensis and a new queen and male of Acromyrmex hispidus. Abenante also co-published a list of the ants of Uruguay in 1988. (122 species in 36 genera listed.)
