BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Dr. Aguayo worked at the Poey Museum, Edificio Felipe Poey, Planta Baja, Plaza Ignacio Agramonte, Universidad de la Habana, Vedado, Cuba. Aguayo worked with Dr. William J. Clench on Mollusks and with Dr. William M.Wheeler on ants.

ANT TAXONOMY

"I avail myself of the opportunity given me by the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation to study in the United States, and Dr. Barbour’s permission to work in the Museum of Comparative Zoology, to publish this small contribution to the knowledge of Cuban ants."

Aguayo described six new species of Temnothorax, three new species of Camponotus and one new species of Hypopnera from Cuba.
