BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Department of Entomology, University of California-Davis, One Shields Ave, Davis, CA 95616. E-mail: bbblaimer@ucdavis.edu

My research interests circle around the systematics, evolution and ecology of ants. In particular, I am currently interested in the systematics, evolution and biogeography of the genus Crematogaster, and the diversity and ecology of canopy ants in general. At the moment I am working on my Ph.D. thesis in the Ward lab at UC Davis, where I am focusing on the taxonomy and evolution of Malagasy Crematogaster and the establishment of a first broad-scale phylogeny for the genus.
