Pierre Hippolyte Lucas (1814-1899)

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Lucas, Pierre Hippolyte (1814-1899). French invertebrate zoologist, born in the Jardin des Plants in Paris; began working in the museum at age 13; later, obtained the "Chaire d'Entomologie" at the museum; worked on arachnids and various insects.
